Luis Alcocer Chauvet
Mr. Alcocer heads the firm’s corporate and real estate acquisitions-closings practice. He is a licensed Mexican attorney (admitted, 1996), and his main specialization areas are corporate law, real estate law, tourism law, finance law, foreign investments and agreements.
Prior to joining Rosen Law in 2007, Mr. Alcocer was an associate attorney at several prestigious international law firms based in Mexico City, including Baker & McKenzie.
Mr. Alcocer has more than 20 years of experience in advising foreign investors in corporate, real estate, finance and international business law matters, in areas such as cross-border transactions, acquisitions and closings of real state, conformation of real estate developments (hotels, condominiums, communities, timeshare systems) companies, partners agreements, finance, private equity, mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Alcocer has considerable experience in drafting and structuring all types of commercial, civil and joint-venture agreements, debt instruments, trust agreements, board and partners meetings minutes, partner/shareholder conflict and deadlock resolutions, as well as asset-based and project financing, and cross-border loan agreements. Mr. Alcocer has also performed due diligence and leaded several major resort development and financing transactions.
Luis enjoys reading and sports, especially golf.

where his professional thesis “Resolution of International Commercial Disputes” was awarded honors.
Mr. Alcocer is a licensed Mexican attorney (admitted, 1996), holds three specialization diplomas in (i) Corporate Law, (ii) International Commerce & Finance law, and (iii) Commercial law, all from Universidad Panamericana (UP), as well as diplomas on “Due Diligence” and “Tax law” from the National Association of Business lawyers (ANADE).
Mr. Alcocer is fluent in English and has working knowledge of French.
