Fernando González is a Mexican attorney licensed since 2012, whose practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, corporate governance and compliance, foreign investment, finance and secured transactions, trusts (fideicomisos), and complex cross‑border transactions.
Fernando regularly advises domestic and international clients—including multinational corporations, private equity and real estate funds, family offices, and international private clients—on a wide range of transactional, corporate, and real estate matters in Mexico. He is known for delivering practical, business‑oriented legal solutions that align legal strategy with commercial objectives. His work encompasses the structuring, negotiation, documentation, and closing of share and asset acquisitions, joint ventures, financings, and secured lending arrangements.
He has extensive experience representing foreign investors in connection with investments and operations in Mexico, including corporate structuring, formation of Mexican entities, startup implementation, shareholder and partnership agreements, legal due diligence, and the design of complex contractual and trust structures tailored to regulatory and tax considerations.
Since the beginning of his practice, Fernando has played a lead role in numerous transactions across a broad spectrum of industries, including real estate development, hospitality (hotels and resorts), manufacturing, automotive, education, apparel, pharmaceuticals, and consumer products. His experience also includes advising issuers and participants in securities placements in the Mexican capital markets.
