Ibby Saavedra is an attorney admitted to practice law in Mexico (2022) and holds a Master’s Degree in Corporate and Business Law, officially revalidated by the Mexican Ministry of Education in 2021. A Bolivian-born, naturalized Mexican citizen, she has been based in Los Cabos since 2015. Her practice focuses on real estate transactions and development, fiduciary structures (fideicomisos), corporate law, foreign investment, regulatory compliance, and cross-border transactions.
Ms. Saavedra advises domestic and international investors, financial institutions, trustee banks, developers, and private clients in connection with sophisticated real estate acquisitions and dispositions, corporate transactions, and trust (fideicomiso) structures throughout Mexico. Her practice encompasses transaction structuring, legal due diligence, contract drafting and negotiation, trust administration, regulatory compliance, and the coordination of complex transactions involving notaries, governmental authorities, financial institutions, and other stakeholders. She has extensive experience guiding foreign investors through the legal and regulatory framework governing the acquisition, ownership, development, and disposition of real estate in Mexico.
Since relocating to Mexico, Ms. Saavedra has represented domestic and international clients in numerous high-value real estate, hospitality, and investment transactions involving the acquisition, financing, development, assignment, and disposition of assets throughout the country. She has participated in matters involving internationally recognized entrepreneurs, family offices, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, advising on complex real estate, trust, corporate, and cross-border investment matters. Prior to relocating to Mexico, she held senior executive and public-sector positions in Bolivia, experience that provides her with a strong commercial perspective and enhances her ability to manage sophisticated cross-border transactions and client objectives.
